.......

New semester started today. Nothing interesting happened. Didn't really get what the maths lect was saying. Not sure if its just me. Could be.

The new FIT building is open now. A friend said the lecture rooms are like the rooms in her old tuition center. *disappointment*

Chris in da house....

I got a new housemate today, Christopher. We were skoolmates back in Anderson. After he arrived from Ipoh and moved some things to his room, he went back to his old unit in block C to get some stuff. When he came back he asked me "Do you want a fridge?". OMG. A fridge. Awesome! Apparently the owner didn't want the fridge anymore. When we got there we found out why. There were 4 fridges there. Each new tennant had their own!
So we carried the thing down, loaded it into his Vios and drove home. Its not much. Its a shabby old National unit with the words 'Green Earth Fridge" on it. Hebat! Whatever it is. As long as I can get cold water, I'm happy. And if we're keeping the earth green while we're at it, great!

Changing lanes

I was supposed to go back to Cyberjaya today. Had already set my mind to go for the floral parade thing tomorrow to shoot pics but my mom managed to convince me to stay a day longer. No regrets so far. Besides, I heard those floats n stuff are gonna be on display in air-cond tents for a few days after.

So me and my mom went to Ipoh Padang. Every Ipoh mali punya olang would know this place. Its right smack in what we now call old town.

This is also where the controversial RM300 000 flagpole is located. The thing is, after unwillingly having to pay for it in tax money(my parents lah), you'd at least expect to see a flag on it right!?

Adjacent to the field is a building I think is just remarkable. The St. Michael's School main building. These buildings built in the early 1900's have so much more character.

HAH! Its such a rare occasion we get to see its tounge! Lucky shot!

Thank god it does not have red blood shot eyes like some other rabbits...*chills*

I'm not sure when the courthouse was built but it has design elements of early buildings.

Another majestic building. Ipoh City Hall. We used to have concerts here when I was still in the school band. Good times.(hehe, Borat)

At dinner time my parents and I went to the Tmn Mas food court. I hadn't been there in a while.

We started off with satay..yum yum

Dad ordered something from this stall that did not have any english or malay writing. I guess its seafood noodles. Tasted normal.

I opted for western food. Regretted. The fries were awefull and the pea/corn/carrot vege was still cold-ish. But I was hungry so I gobbled it down.

Chapter 1 - Part IV

Ok, I promise this is the last.

A few days ago I followed my cousins to D.R. Park in Ipoh. I used to go there when I was little to ride my bicycle, play badminton, etc. Being there again and watching children run around brought back some good memories.

I got a few shots of the scenery too.

A small lake where people usually picnic. There is a lake with coys
over the other side.

I like this pic. Has an air of mystery to it.

Haha. The fake hydrant. It was so fun to pretend we were really on a street

I remember very clearly that I used to pretend to refuel my bike here!

I like these two pics. Since I couldn't decide I asked Calvin what he thought and he said the one below looked like a 'Jangan lupa pakai topi keledar' ad. HAHAHA. So I made the third one.

HAHAHAHA. Poor kid!

As I was walking around looking for more subjects, I noticed this 1 motorist. She was wery focused on her riding. I decided to park myself and shoot.

HAHAHA...making Chapter 1 was fun. I hope yo enjoyed it as much as I did. Please feel free to leave comments.

Thanks for visiting. Adios!

Chapter 1 - Part III

This shall be the last backdated post. :P
I hope.....

^This is a random image I thought I'd share. Calvin and I thought it had a Gotham City feel to it.

^Another random pic: the family rabbit, Billie. I just thought its fair now since the cat was in. Pic courtesy of joannC

Chapter 1 - Part II

Last week my good friend back from high school, Michael came down for a visit from Singapore. I took him around KL to get a few things he needed. We were mainly lurking around BB area.
(I actually had pics of us playing pool with Jian Wei and all but I accidentally deleted it, damn!)

Mikes' a tough guy to photograph. He claims there is a high demand for his pics and I can't afford to pay him. Sure...

We came across a TV crew doing a take on some show. We had no idea who she was. Anyone?
I took a shot anyway.

Then there was this Nike booth thing nearby. I don't think anyone knew what its purpose was.
Shot from ground floor of Star Hill Gallery
I finally got Mike to pose for me. So this is payback. HEHE

Chapter 1

Okay this is where my blog actually begins. What I plan to do here is actually start a photo blog. Not much typing, just interesting photos that I take (with my new EOS 400d *gloat*) while going about with my daily life. So why didn't I make a photoblog.com account? I did, but I prefer the .blogspot.com url. :P

So whats going on in my life now is well, my newfound hobby: photography.

Its been 10 days since I got my SLR but its only now that I'm posting cuz I got a lil busy and there was the issue of creating a watermark for my pic. I totally suck at photoshop. Thanks Louis! (This guy rox at flash n ps!).

So these are some pics from the past 10 days...

15 Jan - Took the cam out for a run on some night shots with Calvin

View of Presinct 4 from one of the bridges

Palace Of Justice

16 Jan - Went over to Cyberjaya Lake Park for some more shots. These didn't turn out too well but there was one that a few ppl liked.

Lotus plants at the edge of the lake

17 Jan

Close up of my cat Dark Brown. (yes his fur is dark brown)

He sleeps like there is no tomorrow.
Later that week he managed to escape and run away. Ungreatful cat!

18 Jan

I began to sense jealousy mounting on the old point n shoot.
Best to keep them apart.

Screws and screwdrivers....

Don’t you hate it when you have to use the wrong type of screwdriver to remove a screw? You get it out, but you end up damaging the head a little. You do it a few more times and you’ve got a completely spoiled screw head that’s beyond anymore screwing. It sucks, doesn’t it?
Well as for my blog here, it has got nothing to do with screws or screwdrivers (or any kind of screwing for that matter). :)
Its just about me going on with my life, looking for the right screwdriver that’ll fit the best, while trying not to damage the screw head too much.
